Petoskey Duplicate Bridge Center
(PDBC)

Bringing People Together to Learn New Skills.
Small Group Instruction
-
Small group instruction is an integral activity of the PDBC. Lessons designed to introduce the game of duplicate bridge to members of surrounding communities in our four adjacent counties are provided weekly throughout the year at the Bridge Center which is located in Petoskey - the area’s largest community. The instructional materials used are approved by the ACBL.
-
In addition, ACBL-certified bridge teachers generously volunteer their time to conduct regular, weekly sessions to review bridge topics, bridge conventions, hands that players recently experienced or general questions, all focused on the education of the players. Regularly, 20-30 players participate in these free weekly sessions.
-
Throughout the year, hour-long tutorials are provided in the Center classroom prior to the day's game.

Mike Sears, accredited ACBL teacher, conducts weekly sessions with a group of players. Two of his favorite points of focus are: THINK!!! and Describe Your Hand!
